Look AHEAD as BR hits up HIX

Hola chicas (and chicos!)

It’s been a busy few weeks for us at BR HQ! We’ve been channelling our inner jetsetter and zipping around Europe this month, and next month we’re off to see our exciting new project in Doha, Qatar! 

Writing this from our hotel room in Prague (more to come on that soon!!), we wanted to chat to you about our key takeaways from our recent trip to Londres! We attended the HIX Event at the BDC Centre in London and also the Ahead Awards organised by Sleeper Magazine, and what a week it was!

First of all, we must say… HOW INCREDIBLE IS IT TO BE BACK OUT THERE AGAIN?!  

As we begin to emerge from the pandemic and what has been a difficult 18 months for everyone across the world, it highlights two things, 1.Being in the same situation no matter where you are across the globe, really has the power to bring us all together, when we’ve never felt further apart. And 2. The sheer excitement and joy exuded from all as we begin to get back to a ‘new normal’ really is something to celebrate and shout about.

 From our flying visit (pardon the pun!) to London and these key industry events for the hospitality industry, we found that – 

1.          The industry has come back with a bang! Sexy, sassy and raring to go. Conversations had with long-lost companions across the industry told us one clear thing, the world of hospitality is ready for business! Everyone was excited, energised and keen to chat about exciting opportunities on the horizon. 

2.          There is something to be said about ‘being present’ and being truly present. Whilst we all adapted well (and pretty swiftly!) to Zoom parties and Teams cocktail making, you just cannot beat properly attending events and immersing yourself back into an ever exciting and  evolving industry. The atmosphere experienced through reconnecting after a long period of disconnect for the industry was electric.

3.          WE LOVE LONDON! We were so excited to be back in the capital and as usual, it exceeded expectations. A beautiful city, full of energy and life. Watch out London, we’ll be back! We’re making it our BR resolution for 2022 to return to London much more regularly!
